The 3D Web Spectrum
Not every "3D website" uses runtime WebGL. The best 3D sites choose the RIGHT approach for their content:

Choose the lightest approach that achieves the visual goal. Runtime WebGL is expensive. If pre-rendered images or CSS 3D can achieve 80% of the effect at 10% of the cost, use those.

2. FIDELITY — Does it need photorealism or stylized? (Photorealistic → pre-render. Stylized → runtime OK)
