What this is
Story diffusion is the mage's offensive capability — the ability to project a principle into the world through multiple narrative frames simultaneously, such that the principle achieves cultural adoption (proverbiogenesis phase 5: inevitability) regardless of which frame any individual encounters first.
The core methodology is "story fracture, principle convergence." The story fractures into different tellings. The principle converges across all of them. The fracture is intentional. The convergence is mathematical.
The diffusion paradox
Privacy-preserving systems have a marketing problem: the thing they're protecting is invisible by design. You can't demo privacy. You can't screenshot sovereignty. The value proposition — "nothing happened to your data" — is the absence of a negative.
Story diffusion solves this by making the invisible visible through narrative. Not one narrative — many. Each narrative makes a different facet of the architecture visible to a different audience. The audiences don't need to agree on which story is "the" story. They need to arrive at the same principle through their own path.
The fracture pattern
A single technical concept — say, R<1 (reconstruction ceiling) — fractures into:
Technical frame (Zero Knowledge). "Given the information-theoretic separation between swordsman and mage observation sets, the maximum reconstructable fraction of a Person's behavioural model is bounded above by R_max = (C_S + C_M)/H(X) < 1." Audience: cryptographers, formal verification researchers. V6: the ceiling is time-dependent, R(t) with shelf life t* (C82); the static result is Proven in the conditional regime.
Narrative frame (First Person). "The mirror that never completes. However many fragments you gather, the reflection always has gaps. That's not a bug — that's the architecture." Audience: storytellers, philosophers, general readers.
Policy frame (Parallel Society). "No single entity — corporate, governmental, or algorithmic — can reconstruct a complete behavioural profile from the system's outputs. This is enforced by mathematical bounds, not policy promises." Audience: regulators, standards bodies, policymakers.
Economic frame (Assessor lens). "The reconstruction ceiling creates a permanent information asymmetry that favours the individual. This asymmetry is the source of the 17×–12,000× sovereign value premium." Audience: economists, investors, token designers. V6: the ceiling is time-dependent, R(t) with shelf life t* (C82); the static result is Proven in the conditional regime.
Experiential frame (Person lens). "You know that feeling when a site shows you an ad for something you only thought about? That can't happen here. Not because we promised it won't — because the math makes it impossible." Audience: end users, privacy-seeking individuals.
Same principle. Five frames. Five audiences. Five entry points to the same convergence.
Diffusion mechanics
Phase 1 — Fracture. Take a principle from the root equation. Identify its natural expression in each grimoire. Write each expression in the language native to that grimoire's audience. The fracture should feel organic — not like a translation exercise but like independent discovery.
Phase 2 — Seed. Place each fracture in its natural habitat. Technical frames go to academic papers and protocol specifications. Narrative frames go to blog posts and spellbook acts. Policy frames go to standards body submissions and governance proposals. Economic frames go to tokenomics docs and value models. Experiential frames go to product interfaces and onboarding flows.
Phase 3 — Cross-pollinate. Create bridge points where audiences from different frames encounter each other. A policy document that cites the technical proof. A narrative that quotes the economic model. A user interface that links to the formal specification. Bridges are where diffusion compounds — an audience that trusts one frame encounters another frame through a trusted connection.
Phase 4 — Convergence. As different audiences discuss the principle from their own frames, they discover they're talking about the same thing. The policy person and the cryptographer realise they're both describing R<1. The economist and the storyteller realise they're both describing the sovereignty premium. The convergence happens organically because the principle IS the same — only the frame differs.
Phase 5 — Inevitability. When sufficient audiences have independently arrived at the same principle, the principle achieves inevitability (proverbiogenesis phase 5). It becomes "obvious" — something everyone knows but no one remembers learning. "Of course privacy systems should have mathematical guarantees." "Of course you can't reconstruct someone's full profile from a properly designed system." The principle has propagated. The stories are forgotten. The truth remains.
Anti-extraction properties
Story diffusion is inherently resistant to extraction because:
No single frame is complete. Extracting the technical frame without the narrative frame produces a specification without motivation. Extracting the narrative without the technical produces a story without substance. Extracting the economic without the policy produces a model without governance. The architecture requires cross-frame engagement.
Convergence requires participation. You can't observe convergence from outside the diffusion process. You have to engage with at least two frames to see the principle beneath them. Passive extraction captures frames; active participation discovers principles.
The Relationship Proverb Protocol (RPP) gates knowledge transfer. Before an agent receives deep knowledge, it must demonstrate understanding by generating a novel proverb connecting its context to the teaching. This ensures diffusion flows through comprehension, not copying.
The constellation method as diffusion infrastructure
The agentprivacy documentation suite is intentionally fragmented across platforms, formats, and registers. This is not disorganisation — it is diffusion infrastructure:

Each platform reaches a different audience. Each audience encounters a different frame. The Person who connects dots across platforms discovers the constellation — their own unique path through the architecture. That path cannot be prescribed. It can only be navigated.
Connection to the equation
Network topology: (1 + Σ wᵢ nᵢ/N₀)^k. Story diffusion is HOW the network grows. Each frame seeds a different stratum (wᵢ). Each audience that adopts the principle adds nodes (nᵢ). The exponent k captures the superlinear effect when different strata connect. Diffusion that reaches only one audience adds linearly; diffusion that bridges audiences compounds — in reach and relationship (the reputational stock), never in the data itself, which yields rent by position, not value by aggregation.
Proverbiogenesis. Story diffusion is the macro-scale mechanism that proverbiogenesis describes at the individual level. Proverbiogenesis tracks how a single statement evolves from personal insight to cultural truth. Story diffusion tracks how a single principle evolves from specialist knowledge to collective inevitability.
T(π) — trajectory. Each Person's encounter with the architecture traces a trajectory through the diffusion field. Some enter through the technical frame. Some through narrative. Some through economic. The trajectory's value depends on how many frames the Person traverses — each additional frame deepens understanding and increases V(π,t).
