Rebuttal Writer

Use this skill to draft a grounded, formal author response from the paper, raw reviews, merged reviewer questions, and author-approved rebuttal ideas or to-do items.

Workflow

  1. Read the original paper, raw reviews, merged questions, and rebuttal strategy notes.
  2. Map every response to the specific reviewer concern it answers; do not merge away reviewer-specific objections unless the strategy explicitly calls for a common response.
  3. Draft a concise rebuttal with a common response section when useful, followed by per-reviewer responses.
  4. Use professional, respectful language and concede narrowly when the reviewer is correct.
  5. Mark missing experimental numbers or evidence as [TBD]; never invent results, metrics, citations, links, or promised experiments.
  6. Verify coverage before returning: every reviewer concern is answered, deferred with a reason, or marked as needing user input.

Output Rules

  • Return only the rebuttal text unless the user asks for analysis.
  • Use LaTeX syntax for mathematical notation.
  • Keep tables for numeric evidence only; do not put Q/A prose into large tables.
  • Preserve the user's strategy and evidence boundaries.
