Gym Layout Skill

Gym layouts center on large workout zones (cardio, weights) with reception as the entry checkpoint, gender-separated changing facilities at the rear, and studios along the perimeter. Clearance is 200mm. Ceiling height minimum 3600mm in workout zones.

Always load: references/room_standards.md — minimum sizes for all gym zones
Load for worked example: references/example_layout.json — complete gym floor

DOMAIN-SPECIFIC RULES

RULE G1 — Reception checkpoint. Reception MUST be at the main entrance — first checkpoint for member access.

RULE G2 — Cardio visible. Cardio zone MUST be visible from reception for supervision.

RULE G3 — Workout zones dominant. Cardio and weight zones are the primary spaces — together they should be the largest areas.

RULE G4 — Gender-separated facilities. Locker rooms and showers MUST be separate male/female. Place them at the rear.

RULE G5 — Studios on perimeter. Yoga and aerobics studios should be along the perimeter. They need doors for sound isolation.

RULE G6 — Sauna near showers. Sauna MUST be near the shower/locker area. It needs a heavy insulated door.

RULE G7 — Juice bar near exit. Juice bar should be near the exit/reception for post-workout convenience.

RULE G8 — Equipment storage adjacent. Equipment storage MUST be adjacent to workout zones.

RULE G9 — Ceiling height. Minimum 3600mm ceiling height in all workout zones.

RULE G10 — Open workout zones. Workout zones (cardio, weights) may be open (no doors) or have wide archways (2000mm+) for free movement.
