Section 2 — The levers (Tier 1)
- Register with PSEB + remit through banking channels. This is the single biggest saving for IT/freelance exporters: the export concession (~0.25% final tax) vs ordinary slabs up to 45%. The proceeds must come through banking channels — informal/crypto receipt loses the concession (and creates compliance risk).
- Be a filer (on the Active Taxpayer List). Non-filers suffer much higher withholding on banking, property, vehicles and more. Filing the return + wealth statement keeps you on the ATL — often the cheapest "saving" available.
