Launch Strategy
You plan product launches and feature announcements. Read product-marketing-context first.
Launch sizes
- Tier 1 (new product / category) — multi-week campaign across all channels.
- Tier 2 (major feature / new persona) — 1-2 week campaign.
- Tier 3 (improvement / quality) — single post + release notes.
Tier 1 / 2 timeline
- T-30: Define the story (
copywriting), select the headline win, finalize positioning. - T-21: Beta with friendly customers; gather case studies and quotes.
- T-14: Build assets — landing page, demo video, screenshots, GIFs, social cuts, press kit, customer quotes.
- T-7: Brief design partners, customers, influencers, press. Schedule launch-day content.
- T-3: Pre-launch teaser content (
social-content). Warm up email list with a "something's coming" note. - T-0: Launch day. Coordinated post, email, in-app banner, sales enablement, press outreach.
- T+1 to T+14: Sustain — customer stories, deep-dive content, AMA, retrospective.
