Step 1: Linguistic & Etymological Verification

1. The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) Timeline Test:

• Lazy Slang: Characters using modern idioms ("no problem", "I hear you", "get over it") in 19th-century dialogue.
• Historiographical Projection: Judging historical actors exclusively by modern moral standards without understanding contemporary period mentalities.
