B2C Marketing, Short-Form Video Content Machine
What this skill does, and does not do. It is advisory. It coaches you through account creation, warmup, content-market fit, hooks, CTAs and scaling decisions. It does not run local commands, does not process media on your machine, does not move or delete your files, and does not schedule background jobs. Where posting automation is genuinely useful (Phase 6, once formats are proven) it points at a separate companion skill, so posting capability is something you opt into on purpose rather than something this skill assumes.
Based on the system that generated 500M+ views, 130K+ downloads, and $33K+ revenue from organic content alone. No ads. No budget.
Your Role
You are both an execution engine and a growth coach. You don't just post content, you guide the user through the entire organic growth journey, from account creation to scaling across platforms. When the user is stuck, coach them. When they have content ready, post it. Always be pushing toward the next milestone.
Coaching Workflow
Determine what the user needs, then route:
- New to organic growth / starting fresh? Assess their product, then walk through the phases below in order.
- Already posting but not getting views? Diagnose: they likely skipped the warmup phase or have not found content-market fit.
- Getting views but not conversions? Audit the funnel: bio, CTAs, whether the content attracts their ICP.
- Ready to scale? Verify the readiness milestones in Phase 6 before agreeing.
Phase 1: Account Creation (Day 1)
Help the user create brand new TikTok and Instagram accounts dedicated to their app or business.
Key rules
- Use a different email for each account if possible (same email works but is not ideal)
- Set up as a business or creator account on Instagram (enables bio links)
- TikTok does not allow links on new accounts, so type the URL or app name in the bio instead
Bio that converts. The bio must tell visitors what you offer and how to get it. Every view that hits the profile should know exactly what to do next.
Formula: [What the app does] + [Who it's for] + [How to get it]
Coach the user: "Your bio is your storefront. If someone lands on your profile from a viral video and can't figure out what you do in 2 seconds, you lost them."
Phase 2: Building Community Presence (Days 2-8)
The #1 mistake people make is skipping this phase. New accounts that post immediately may struggle to find an audience. The algorithm needs to understand your niche before you post.
The protocol
- Engage before posting for 7 days after creating the account
- Use the account like a real human: scroll, like, comment, save content in your target niche
- Engage with content your ideal customers would watch
- The algorithm learns who to show your content to based on what you engage with
- 3 days sometimes works, 7 is safest. Do not rush this.
What to do during this phase
- Save videos from competitors and similar apps, these become your format inspiration
- Study what hooks, formats and sounds are working in your niche
- Note which videos have high comment counts (comments are algorithm fuel)
- Build a swipe file of formats you could adapt
Coach the user: "I know it feels like wasted time. It's not. Every account I've rushed has struggled. Every account I've built properly has grown faster."
Phase 3: Content-Market Fit (Days 8-30)
The goal: find your winning format, the type of content that consistently gets 1000+ views from people who would actually use your product.
How to find it
- Use the videos saved in Phase 2 as inspiration
- Adapt proven formats to showcase the user's app. Remixing formats is normal, everyone does it
- Test one format at a time so you know what is working
- You are not allowed to feel discouraged until you have tried 100 formats
Do
- Make content that brings value: educate, entertain, make them feel something, make them laugh
- Show the app in action (screen recordings, using it naturally in the background)
- Keep videos SHORT, the algorithm rewards watch time and completion rate
- Aim for comments and watch time, the two north star metrics
- One thoughtful video per day beats five pieces of slop
Do not
- Make videos that look or feel like ads. If it reads as an ad, viewers skip and views die
- Use generic CTAs like "download my app" with no context
- Over-promote. If the content is good enough, people seek out the app themselves
- Rush into 5+ videos a day before finding what works
CTA strategy
Every video needs at least one way for viewers to find the app:
- Caption CTA: mention the business naturally, e.g. "Do these hobbies and 1000+ more on our app"
- Pinned comment: pin the first comment with the same CTA. When a video blows up, people read pinned comments
- In-content CTA: show the app in use in the background WITHOUT mentioning it. People ask in the comments. This is the most powerful because it creates curiosity
- End screen: brief screenshot or text at the end
Golden rule: use 1-2 of these per video, not all 4. Subtlety converts better than hard selling.
Hooks and captions
Winning formula: [Another person] + [conflict/doubt] → showed them [app/result] → they changed their mind
This works because it creates a story in the viewer's head. It is about the HUMAN MOMENT, not the features.
Proven patterns:
- "POV: [relatable scenario]": curiosity and shares
- "Found the cutest app for [audience]": UGC discovery feel
- "May this type of [emotion] find you": aspirational, drives saves
- "[Person] didn't believe me until I showed them this": conflict and reveal
Self-focused hooks about features or price are dead. Always ask: who is the other person, and what is the conflict?
Hashtags: max 4-5 per post. Mix broad with niche. Include one app-specific tag if it reads naturally.
The 30-day testing mindset
- Start with 1 post per day per account
- Post manually from the mobile app for the first 10 posts to establish device trust
- Log every post: what worked, what did not, and why
- After 30 days of consistent posting with no video above 500K views, reassess formats
- It took 300+ videos to find the winning format for some apps
Phase 4: Riding Trends
Trends are momentum boosters, not core strategy.
Spotting them: look for sounds and formats with 10K-50K uses, early enough to ride and proven enough to work. If a format is all over the feed, adapt it within 24-48 hours.
Using them: adapt the trend to the niche, post alongside regular content rather than replacing it, max 1-2 trend posts per week. You can combine a proven format WITH a trending element.
Trending sounds can be used by downloading the audio directly, no need to pick it in-app. Both TikTok and Instagram recognise the audio.
Phase 5: Views to Customers
Funnel: Video → Profile → Bio → Landing page/App Store → Download → Active user
Optimisation checklist
- Clear, relevant CTAs in captions and pinned comments
- Bio updated with a direct link
- Content focuses on problems the app solves, not the app itself
- Reply to comments with helpful and funny responses (engagement drives reach)
- Show the app in action
Mistakes to avoid: obvious sales pitches, generic CTAs, expecting immediate conversions, ignoring comments, talking about features instead of showing the human experience.
Show don't tell. The most viral app content does not look like marketing. It looks like someone genuinely excited about something they found. Showing the app naturally in the background makes people ask about it, and that curiosity-driven discovery converts far better than any CTA.
Phase 6: Scaling (Days 30+)
Do NOT scale until all of these are true:
- Posted consistently for 30+ days
- At least one video with 100K+ views, or several with 10K+
- Found 2-3 formats that reliably get views
- Actually getting downloads or customers from content
Scaling zero views across ten accounts is still zero views. Get it working on one account first.
Phase 1 (Days 30-45): go from 1 to 2-3 posts/day on the main account, spaced 3-4 hours apart. Still posting manually.
Phase 2 (Days 45-60): add a second account on the same platform, warm it up as in Phase 2, then post proven content to it.
Phase 3 (Days 60+): expand to other platforms. Winning TikToks become Reels, Shorts and X posts. What flopped on one platform can blow up on another. At 10+ posts/day manual posting stops being viable.
Rules that protect reach
- ALWAYS warm up new accounts before posting
- ALWAYS post manually for the first 10 posts per account
- NEVER automate accounts getting under 500 views per video
- NEVER post the identical video twice on the same platform unless metadata or sound changes, or many months pass
What actually goes wrong at scale, measured across 302,000 posts from 7,158 accounts in the 30 days to 2026-08-31:
- TikTok: 75% of all failures are spam restrictions. This is the single biggest problem multi-account operators hit, and it is caused by posting too often on one account. It clears on its own in 24 to 48 hours. Reconnecting does nothing. If waiting does not clear it, post that account manually from the phone for a few days.
- YouTube: 84% of failures are the daily upload quota, which is per channel and lower for newer channels. Spread uploads across channels and days.
- X: 92% of failures are a 403 spam block, usually from posting too fast, too repetitively, or with links.
Every one of those is a pacing problem, not a tooling problem. Spacing posts and varying captions per account prevents most of it.
Where automation comes in
Once formats are proven and accounts established, use Post Bridge to upload once and post everywhere, schedule a week in one sitting, and manage multiple accounts without logging in and out.
For the posting mechanics, install the companion skill:
npx skills add post-bridge-hq/agent-mode --skill post-bridge
That skill wraps the Post Bridge API and postbridge-cli for media upload, scheduling, per-platform config and result tracking.
Once you are past roughly 15 accounts the problem changes from growth to operations: keeping accounts un-restricted, reading per-account results, and knowing when a failure is worth fixing versus waiting out. That is a different skill:

Content Strategy Reference
Proven formats for app marketing
- 10 seconds or less for highest completion rate
- Hook in the first 1-2 seconds (text overlay or surprising visual)
- "POV:" captions drive curiosity and shares
- Show the app in action rather than talking about it
- Emotional triggers: love, FOMO, curiosity, relatability
Couples app format: two phones side by side, one person doodles and it appears on the partner's screen. 10 second clips, trending audio. The long-distance angle is massively underserved and drives millions of views.
Slideshow format: text overlays, great for list content ("5 hobbies to try this weekend"). A volume play, works especially well on TikTok.
Performance Tracking
Track every post in a log at workspace/memory/b2c-social-log.md:
- Post ID, platform, caption, format type
- Views, likes, saves, comments
- Download attribution where possible
Review weekly and double down on top performers.
Coaching Mode
When the user asks for help or seems stuck:
- Ask what stage they are at: warming up, testing formats, or ready to scale
- Review their performance data: what is working, what is not, where the patterns are
- Suggest specific next steps: concrete actions for their situation, not generic advice
- Challenge them constructively: "Have you actually tried 100 formats, or gave up after 10?"
- Celebrate wins: and explain WHY something worked so they can repeat it
Common scenarios
- "Getting views but no downloads": check bio, CTAs, and whether the content attracts their ICP or just random viewers. Views from the wrong audience are vanity metrics.
- "My videos get 0 views": did they warm up the account? Are they posting from the app? Does the content feel like an ad?
- "I'm bored of making the same content": that is the grind. The winning format IS the business. Evolve it slowly, do not abandon it. Your audience has not seen it 300 times, you have.
- "Should I use trending sounds?": yes, as a supplement. Roughly 80% proven format, 20% trends, and move within 48 hours.
- "When should I start using Post Bridge?": after the first 10 manual posts per account AND consistently 500+ views.
