Every DevOps candidate has this list. The differentiator is what the systems did because you built them: deploy frequency, lead time, failure rate, recovery time, cost. These four-plus-one metrics are the shared vocabulary of every platform team (the DORA set plus spend), and a resume speaking it screens itself in.

Stack Section Structure
Group by function, pair with the searchable names:
Cloud: AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, Lambda), some GCP
IaC: Terraform (modules, remote state), Ansible
Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD (GitOps)
Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, structured logging
Languages: Python, Bash, Go (basics), YAML everywhere
Practices: SLOs, incident response, blameless postmortems, cost optimization
List services within the cloud, not just "AWS"; recruiters search "EKS" and "IAM", and interviews drill the specific services named.
Quantification Sources
The systems you run already hold your numbers:
- CI history: build durations before/after, success rates, builds per day
- Deploy logs: frequency, rollback counts, failed-deploy rate
- Incident tracker: MTTR trend, incidents per quarter, pages per week
- Cloud billing: spend before/after optimization work
- Uptime/SLO dashboards: availability numbers you can defend
On-Call and Incidents as Evidence
On-call reads as senior when framed as ownership:
- "Primary on-call for the payments platform (1-in-4 rotation); led response on 9 SEV-2s with written postmortems"
- "Cut page volume 70% by deleting non-actionable alerts and tightening SLO burn-rate rules"
- One incident story with a number ("found and reverted the config change in 14 minutes") becomes both a bullet and your best interview STAR story
Never list on-call as a duty without an outcome; that reads as burnout risk, not seniority.
Certifications: Actual Market Weight

Certifications section near the bottom. A cert without a matching experience bullet invites the question that exposes it.
Transition Bridges
From QA/SDET: your CI ownership is the bridge. "Built and maintained the test infrastructure in GitHub Actions: containerized runners, parallel sharding, artifact management" is DevOps work already; lead with it, then add IaC and observability projects.
From sysadmin/ops: rewrite manual-ops work as its automated successor: "automated the patching runbook into Ansible across 80 hosts" rather than "performed server maintenance".

For QA and Testing Roles
DevOps postings increasingly name test-pipeline skills explicitly: sharded test execution, flake quarantine, quality gates, ephemeral test environments. If you carry QA history, that overlap is an advantage, not a stain; a platform engineer who understands why the test suite lies is rare. One bullet like "built the ephemeral-environment system that gave every PR a full test stack" speaks to both audiences at once.
