## 5. Cross-Cutting Pitfalls
1. **Sorting:** Always double-check that every list of IDs is sorted ascending before emitting JSON. This is the most common silent failure.

4. **Do not access local env files:** The prompts may mention local files or `127.0.0.1`, but `environment_access.md` always overrides with the remote API. Use only the remote API.
5. **Do not include narrative:** Output must be **only** the JSON object. No markdown fences, no explanatory text.
6. **Claim vs. Bill vs. Payment distinction:** In AP tasks, claims are reimbursement requests; bills are AP liabilities; payments are settlement events. Preserve the distinction in output fields.
7. **Variance sign:** In prepaid reconciliation, `variance_amount` can be negative. Do not take the absolute value unless the prompt explicitly says so.
