• Holders may sponsor family members (spouse, children of any age — unlimited age for dependent children differs from standard sponsorship).
• Valid for 10 years; renewable indefinitely if criteria maintained.
• Can leave UAE for up to 6 months without visa cancellation (standard residency cancels after 6 months outside UAE).
• Access to bank accounts, driving licenses, and other UAE services as resident.
• Real estate: non-GCC Golden Visa holders can own property in designated freehold areas.

Green Visa (5-Year Residency)

The Green Visa introduced by Federal Decree-Law 29/2022 provides a 5-year self-sponsored residency option:

• 60-day grace period after employment ends (without losing visa status).
