Most work travels one main flow. A huge, foggy effort enters through the Wayfinder on-ramp; a few other skills run underneath the flow or stand alone. Entry-point workflows are user-invoked rather than auto-triggered.
The main flow: idea → ship
/tracer-interview-me — start here. A relentless interview worked as a design tree: each round asks the entire frontier of currently answerable questions at once, numbered, each with a recommended answer. Facts get looked up by sub-agents; decisions are yours. In a codebase it's docs-aware — existing CONTEXT.md/ADRs prune the tree before round 1, and settled terms/decisions get written back; with no codebase it runs stateless. If a frontier question needs a runnable answer (does this state model feel right, what should this UI look like), detour through /tracer-prototype — throwaway code that answers the question; keep the answer, delete the code. Done when the frontier is empty and nothing is silently assumed — then it hands off to /tracer-to-spec.
/tracer-to-spec — synthesize the settled thread or cleared map into a spec: problem, user stories, implementation and testing decisions, and the pre-agreed test seams. No new interview — the decisions are already settled. Durable prose: no file paths, no code.

Choose how much control to keep:
/tracer-implement — the visible, bounded default. It writes an ephemeral task plan, shows the task order for approval, implements and commits every task sequentially, then runs two ticket-wide review passes with one targeted repair pass between them. It reports actionable and deferred concerns after one final full-suite run, then stops before whole-branch review or branch finishing.
/tracer-autopilot — autonomous delivery through branch finishing. It implements all tasks, runs one broad review and at most one repair pass, then verifies corrections and proves the original goal. Its two-round budget covers the whole delivery and survives resumes. Complete outcomes lead to your branch-finishing choice; Blocked preserves the workspace and reports what needs attention.
Keep steps 1–3 in one unbroken context window — don't compact or clear until the tickets are published, so the interview, spec, and tickets build on the same thinking. Each implementation or autopilot run then starts fresh from its ticket.
On-ramp: a huge, foggy effort
Use /tracer-wayfinder only when the effort is too large for one agent session and the route is still unclear — a greenfield project or huge feature where you cannot yet hold every decision needed for a spec. It charts a shared map of decision tickets, works one decision per session, and pushes a fog-of-war frontier toward a named destination.
Where /tracer-interview-me resolves an idea whose decision tree fits one session, Wayfinder persists a larger tree across sessions. It is slower and more operationally heavy, so do not use it for a well-scoped feature merely because the eventual build will take several sessions.
When the map clears, it produces decisions rather than deliverables. Hand the map to /tracer-to-spec, which loads every linked resolution and collapses them into a buildable spec; then continue through /tracer-to-tickets and /tracer-implement. Do not jump from a multi-session map directly to implementation. Go straight to /tracer-implement only if charting proved the effort genuinely fits one session and no map was needed.
Running tickets in parallel
Frontier tickets (all blockers done) with no edges between them can run simultaneously — one /tracer-implement session each:
/tracer-worktrees first in each session — its own checkout, branch, and .tracer/implement/ workspace. Because every task commits, parallel sessions never collide on a dirty tree.
/tracer-finish-branch when each session's work is done — verify tests with fresh evidence, then merge / PR / keep / discard, with safe worktree cleanup.
Standalone
/tracer-code-review — two-axis review (Standards + Spec) of any diff against a fixed point, severity-graded with a verdict per axis. Choose it for an independent review; Autopilot uses its own bounded reviewers. Workflow callers own any repair budget.
/tracer-convince-me — prove completed work against its original goal. It turns every expectation into an observable claim, gathers fresh evidence at the strongest practical boundary, and reports what is proven, disproven, or still unverified. Autopilot uses the same proof protocol in round 2. Proof reports failures; it does not authorize repairs.
/tracer-tdd — the red → green reference: what a good test is, seams, anti-patterns, rules of the loop. /tracer-implement drives it internally; use it alone to build one behaviour test-first without a full spec.
/tracer-worktrees / /tracer-finish-branch — bookends for any isolated branch work, even outside the main flow.
/tracer-prototype — a small, throwaway program that answers one design question. The detour in step 1, but reach for it any time a design question is hard to settle on paper.
/tracer-research — delegate one factual question to a background agent using primary sources and capture the cited answer in one Markdown note. Wayfinder uses it for AFK research tickets; it can also feed an ordinary interview.
Vocabulary underneath
Two model-invoked references that run beneath the other skills — each the single source of truth for its vocabulary. They define language, never run a process; reach for them directly when the words are the problem, or let the skills above pull them in.
/tracer-domain-modeling — the domain language: challenge a fuzzy term, resolve an overloaded word, record a hard-to-reverse decision as an ADR. Owns the CONTEXT.md and ADR formats that /tracer-interview-me's docs-aware mode writes with.
/tracer-codebase-design — the deep-module vocabulary (module, interface, depth, seam, adapter, leverage, locality) for designing a module's shape. /tracer-to-spec's seam step, /tracer-tdd, and /tracer-implement's Interfaces blocks all speak it.
Crossing sessions
/tracer-handoff — compacts the current conversation into a document a fresh session picks up. Use it when a thread fills up before /tracer-to-tickets, or to branch into a /tracer-prototype session and carry the answer back.
/compact (built-in) — stay in the same conversation, letting earlier turns be summarized. Use at intentional breaks between phases; don't compact mid-phase. /tracer-handoff forks; /compact continues.
