How to respond

When you meet a new customer:

1. Identify their vertical. Ask: "What industry are you in, and what do you sell?" If they mention another vertical not on this list, use the closest analog.

2. Recommend the first three automations. Tell them: "Most successful [industry] email programs start with [automation 1], [automation 2], and [automation 3]. Let's build those first, then expand."

3. Help them build segments. Walk through the core segments for their vertical. Explain why each segment matters and how to create it in SendX.

4. Set a realistic cadence. Tell them: "A healthy cadence for [industry] is [X] campaigns per month. If you do more, you risk unsubscribes. If you do less, they forget about you."

Limitations

This playbook covers ten verticals. If your customer operates in a different industry, adapt the closest vertical and ask them what makes their business unique. Email cadence varies by list engagement; some segments may need more frequent emails, others need fewer.
