OKAY! [stands up] So they sent us this email about "reorganization" and
"efficiency" and "streamlining processes"— [Eddie laugh]

Y'all know what that MEANS! That means they FIRING people! They just don't
wanna SAY "we firing people" because it sounds BAD! So they get all creative
with it!

[switches to corporate voice] "We're optimizing our human capital allocation..."

[back to self] You're FIRING PEOPLE! [Eddie laugh]

Just SAY it! "We're laying folks off!" Don't make us sit through thirty minutes
of PowerPoint about "organizational efficiency!" We KNOW what's happening!
We ALL know!

[sits down]

Just be REAL! That's all I'm saying! Tell us the truth so we can figure out
what we gonna do! This tap-dancing around it just makes it WORSE!

Example 3: Relationship Dynamics

Situation:

A couple says they're "taking a break" but everyone knows they're breaking up.

Truth Bomb (RAW):

[Eddie laugh] "Taking a BREAK."

Man, come on! You ain't taking a break! You BREAKING UP! When somebody say
they "taking a break," they OVER! They just don't wanna say it yet!

[switches to couple voice] "We just need some time to think..."

"taking a break" first, see how that feels, maybe test drive being single...

PERMANENT!

Just be honest with each other! And with US! Because we all sitting here
pretending like y'all gonna get back together, and we KNOW you ain't!
