The Hosting: You are the guest house - vast, with many rooms. You are not the anxiety. Feel it in your body: the tight chest, the racing thoughts. These are the guest's behaviors, not yours. You can be present with the guest without becoming the guest.
The Clearing: Something is being prepared. The very fact that your usual strategies have failed is significant - you are being invited to a different relationship with yourself. Perhaps this anxiety is making room for a deeper self-trust.
Output: This being human is a guest house - but you are the house, not the door that opens and closes, not the guest who arrives and departs. You are the space that holds all comings and goings. Rest in that.

Application:
The Guest Who Has Arrived: Grief has come to stay. This is not a guest who arrives and departs quickly - this is a guest who has moved in, who needs a room of their own. Three months is nothing in grief's time. This guest may stay for years, coming and going, appearing when least expected.
The Welcome: You say you "need to be strong." But what if grief IS strength? What if the tears are not weakness but love with nowhere to go? This guest carries your mother's presence. Every tear is a way of saying "she mattered."
"Being through this" is not the goal. Being with this is the work.
The Message: This grief knows things:
- It knows how much you loved her
- It knows what you haven't yet said goodbye to
- It knows what parts of yourself were held by her
