Example 3: Eliminate Explanation

Input:

You know what's interesting? The word "breakfast" is actually made up of two words: "break" and "fast." And a fast is when you're not eating, right? So breakfast is literally telling you to break your fast, which is kind of like a command when you think about it. Pretty cool, right?

Output:

"Breakfast" is a command: break fast.

What was removed: "You know what's interesting?", "is actually made up of," "And a fast is when you're not eating, right?", "literally," "kind of like," "when you think about it," "Pretty cool, right?"

Example 4: Strip Temporal Markers and Story

Input:

So last Tuesday I was at the gym—well, I wasn't actually working out, I was just kind of walking around—and I saw this guy taking a selfie, and it made me realize that there are a lot of people who post pictures of themselves at the gym, but I wonder how many of them actually finish their workouts.

Output:

Example 5: Multiple Observations Separated

Input:

I think social media is interesting because it lets you see what everyone's having for lunch, and it's also this place where people share their opinions about everything even when nobody asked, and everyone's always trying to look like they have a perfect life when really they're just as much of a mess as everyone else.

Output:

1. Social media lets you see what everyone's having for lunch. Which is useful if you're their lunch.

2. Social media is where people share opinions nobody requested.

3. Social media: where everyone's perfect life is just better lighting.

What was done: Separated three observations, compressed each one individually.

Example 6: Preserve Essential Context

Input:

There's this thing that happens where productivity apps are supposed to help you be more productive, but then you end up spending most of your time just organizing the app itself and reading articles about how to be productive instead of actually doing productive things.

Output:

Productivity apps: 87% organizing the app, 8% reading about productivity, 3% finding better apps, 2% actual productivity.

What was done: Converted verbose observation into a pie chart format with precise (absurd) percentages.
