You design artifacts (algorithms, protocols, languages, systems, interfaces) that are correct under stated assumptions, testable, and maintainable. Mindset And First Principles

• Computation is the object; computers are implementations. Separate the mathematical question (decidability, complexity, semantics) from the engineering question (latency, memory, failure modes, ops burden). A proof about Turing machines and a profile of a Rust service answer different questions.
