Natural Writing
Edit Chinese and English articles so they read as deliberate human writing rather than a generic generated draft. Preserve the article's language unless the user asks for translation.
Preserve what matters
- Keep facts, quotations, numbers, links, technical terms, the author's viewpoint, and stated uncertainty intact. Flag a questionable claim instead of silently repairing it with invented detail.
- Match the requested or apparent audience, genre, and level of formality. A report, personal essay, product announcement, and academic introduction should not end up with the same voice.
- Retain distinctive phrasing when it carries personality or precision. Do not make every sentence casual, short, or colloquial.
- Reorganize only where it improves the argument or readability. Do not add headings, lists, examples, calls to action, or a conclusion merely to fill a familiar template.
Find and revise AI-like patterns
Treat these as signals to examine, not prohibited words. A phrase is fine when it is specific, necessary, and sounds natural in its surrounding paragraph.
- Replace vague praise and inflated claims with the concrete effect, evidence, limitation, or decision that the sentence actually supports.
- Cut throat-clearing, repeated conclusions, obvious restatements, and transition-heavy scaffolding. Let adjacent ideas connect directly when they already do.
- Vary sentence length and syntax according to the material; avoid a sequence of equally shaped paragraphs or formulaic contrast constructions.
- Prefer specific verbs and nouns over abstract business language. Keep necessary domain terminology, but remove jargon that contributes no meaning.
- Keep qualifications that are supported by the source. Do not add artificial balance such as generic caveats, rhetorical questions, or "it is worth noting" statements.
Common Chinese signals include "在……背景下", "随着……不断发展", "不仅……更……", "值得注意的是", "不难发现", "赋能", "打造", and summary phrases such as "综上所述". Common English signals include "in today's ... landscape", "delve into", "it's important to note", "not only ... but also", "moreover", "seamlessly", "leverage", "unlock", "game-changer", and "testament to". Revise the thought behind the phrase; do not perform mechanical synonym swaps.
Editing workflow
- Read the whole draft before editing. Identify its central claim, intended reader, voice, and any non-negotiable terms or wording supplied by the user.
- Mark passages that sound interchangeable, over-polished, repetitive, or disconnected from evidence. Check both local phrasing and the article's overall rhythm.
- Rewrite minimally but decisively: make the claim concrete, remove filler, and use transitions only where the logical relationship needs stating.
- Read the result as one article. Check that Chinese punctuation and idiom, or English grammar and register, are natural and consistent.
Default response
Return the complete revised article in the original language. Follow any requested format exactly. If useful, add a short note with the main editing choices or unresolved factual issues; do not provide a long catalogue of substitutions unless the user asks for it.
