Argument Strength Evaluation

After an AI agent completes a segment of legal reasoning or argumentation, it must self-assess the resulting conclusion: judge the overall strength and confidence of the argument, and identify and flag weak links in the reasoning chain. Trigger conditions include, but are not limited to: - After completing legal analysis, a reliability rating for the conclusion is needed - The user expressly requests an evaluation of the persuasiveness or reliability of a given argument - Multiple competing legal interpretations require comparison of argument strength - The reasoning involves uncertainties (unclear facts, legal gaps, contested views) that need to be flagged - Risk warnings are needed for decision-makers, explaining the limitations of the conclusion - Offensive or defensive strength of one's own or the opposing party's legal arguments must be assessed - Confidence statements must be attached in legal opinions, memoranda, or similar documents
