Security Best Practices
- Never commit .env files - Add to
.gitignore - Use environment-specific files -
.env.local,.env.production - Rotate keys regularly - Especially after sharing code
- Use secrets managers - For production deployments
- Limit key permissions - Use least-privilege principle
