What Changed

Fully migrated 26 commands from .claude/commands/ to .claude/skills/ with proper directory structure and YAML frontmatter following Anthropic's Skills guidance and the Agent Skills standard.

Previous attempt: Only documentation was created, skills weren't actually migrated.
This migration: All skills created with proper format.

Files Consolidated

Key Improvements

1. Proper YAML Frontmatter

   • Every skill now has name, description, and disable-model-invocation fields
   • Claude can see when to use each skill based on descriptions
   • Better discoverability and automatic invocation

2. Side-Effect Protection

   • Skills with side effects have disable-model-invocation: true:
     • setup, reset, demo - System changes
     • career-setup - Initial setup only
   • These can only be invoked by you (not Claude)

3. Future-Ready

   • Skills support additional features:
     • Supporting files (templates, examples, scripts)
     • Context forking (run in isolated subagent)
     • Tool restrictions
     • Custom models
   • Easy to extend as needed

4. Standards Compliant

   • Follows Agent Skills open standard
   • Works across AI tools that support the standard
   • Consistent with Anthropic's patterns

Updated these files to reference .claude/skills/:

Backward Compatibility

The .claude/commands/ folder is preserved temporarily for verification. According to Anthropic:

Files in .claude/commands/ still work and support the same frontmatter. Skills are recommended since they support additional features.

You can safely delete .claude/commands/ once you've verified all skills work correctly.

Testing

All skills are immediately available. Test with:

• /dex-demo on - Try a system control skill
• /dex-level-up - Try a discovery skill
