Campaign Types

Execution Flow

Step 1: Assess Partner Marketing Readiness

partner.get({
  partnerId: context.partnerId,
  includeMarketingProfile: true,
  includeAssets: true
})

Check:

• Brand guidelines availability
• Marketing team contacts
• Previous campaign performance
• Available MDF

Step 2: Review Past Campaigns

partner.get_marketing_activities({
  partnerId: context.partnerId,
  period: "12m",
  includePerformance: true
})

Analyze:

• What worked well
• Audience overlap insights
• Content performance
• Lead quality by campaign type

Step 3: Create Campaign Plan

partner.create_campaign({
  partnerId: context.partnerId,
  campaign: {
    type: context.campaignType,
    name: campaignName,
    targetAudience: context.targetAudience,
    objectives: campaignObjectives,
    budget: context.budget,
    timeline: proposedTimeline,
    responsibilities: {
      yours: yourTasks,
      partner: partnerTasks,
      shared: sharedTasks
    },
    successMetrics: kpis
  }
})

Step 4: Define Responsibilities

function assignResponsibilities(campaignType, partner) {
  const templates = {
    webinar: {
      you: [
        "Create landing page",
        "Set up webinar platform",
        "Promote to our database",
        "Handle registrations"
      ],
      partner: [
        "Provide speaker",
        "Promote to their database",
        "Share on social",
        "Provide customer reference"
      ],
      shared: [
        "Create presentation",
        "Develop talking points",
        "Follow-up sequence"
      ]
    },
    content: {
      you: [
        "Write first draft",
        "Design & formatting",
        "Publish & SEO",
        "Promote on channels"
      ],
      partner: [
        "Review & approve",
        "Provide quotes/data",
        "Promote on channels",
        "Link from their site"
      ],
      shared: [
        "Topic selection",
        "Customer interviews"
      ]
    }
  };

  return templates[campaignType];
}

Step 5: Request MDF (if applicable)

mdf.request({
  partnerId: context.partnerId,
  amount: mdfAmount,
  campaign: {
    id: campaign.id,
    name: campaign.name,
    type: campaign.type
  },
  justification: mdfJustification,
  expectedROI: roiProjection,
  proofOfPerformance: popRequirements
})

Step 6: Create CRM Campaign

crm.create_campaign({
  name: `Partner: ${partner.name} - ${campaign.name}`,
  type: campaign.type,
  status: "Planned",
  startDate: campaign.startDate,
  endDate: campaign.endDate,
  budget: campaign.budget,
  partnerAttribution: partner.id,
  expectedResponse: expectedLeads,
  parentCampaign: "Partner Marketing FY24"
})

Step 7: Execute & Track

Timeline tracking:

function trackCampaignMilestones(campaign) {
  const milestones = [
    { name: "Kickoff call", dueDate: campaign.startDate },
    { name: "Content draft", dueDate: addDays(campaign.startDate, 7) },
    { name: "Partner review", dueDate: addDays(campaign.startDate, 14) },
    { name: "Assets finalized", dueDate: addDays(campaign.startDate, 21) },
    { name: "Promotion begins", dueDate: addDays(campaign.launchDate, -7) },
    { name: "Campaign live", dueDate: campaign.launchDate },
    { name: "Performance review", dueDate: addDays(campaign.endDate, 7) }
  ];

  return milestones;
}

Step 8: Measure Performance

analytics.get_metrics({
  campaignId: campaign.id,
  metrics: [
    "registrations",
    "attendees",
    "leads_generated",
    "mqls_created",
    "pipeline_created",
    "revenue_attributed"
  ]
})

ROI calculation:

function calculateCampaignROI(campaign, results) {
  const totalCost = campaign.budget + campaign.internalCost;
  const revenue = results.revenue_attributed;
  const pipeline = results.pipeline_created;

  return {
    roi: ((revenue - totalCost) / totalCost) * 100,
    costPerLead: totalCost / results.leads_generated,
    costPerMQL: totalCost / results.mqls_created,
    pipelineToSpend: pipeline / totalCost,
    revenueToSpend: revenue / totalCost
  };
}
