5. Code Coverage Analysis

Coverage Collection Failed:

CoverageWarning: No data was collected. (no-data-collected)

Issue: Coverage instrumentation not working with PEP 723 script format

Workaround Needed:

1. Extract plugin_validator module to importable package
2. OR: Configure coverage to instrument script files
3. OR: Run coverage with --source=. and filter results

Coverage Target: 80% minimum (95%+ for validators)

Status: CANNOT VERIFY until coverage collection fixed

Status: 4/10 Complete (40%)

15. Sign-Off Status

Task T23 Status: ❌ NOT COMPLETE

Blocking Issues:

1. 15 test failures must be resolved
2. Coverage collection must be fixed
3. Coverage targets must be met

Recommendation: Task T23 should remain in NOT STARTED status until all blocking issues are resolved.

Next Steps:

1. Fix critical bugs (UnboundLocalError, auto-fix, thresholds)
2. Fix coverage collection
3. Re-run full test suite
4. Generate coverage report
5. Complete missing verification steps

16. Files Verified

Implementation:

Conclusion

The plugin-validator implementation is 93% complete with excellent type safety, performance, and self-validation capabilities. However, 15 unit test failures must be resolved before Task T23 can be marked complete.

The failures are concentrated in 4 validators (Frontmatter, Description, Complexity, NameFormat) and are primarily edge cases and boundary conditions rather than fundamental architectural issues.

Estimated Fix Time: 2-4 hours for critical bugs, additional 2 hours for coverage setup

Final Recommendation: Address critical bugs first, then resolve coverage collection, then re-run full QA verification.
