Platform Guidelines
Twitter/X
Constraints:
- 280 characters per tweet
- Threads: 10-15 tweets max
- Optimal posting: 3-5 posts/day
What Works:
- Curiosity hooks ("Did you know...", "The problem with...")
- Contrarian takes ("Most growth tools...", "Unpopular opinion:")
- Problem-solution framing
- Lists and frameworks
- Before/after comparisons
What Doesn't Work:
- Generic motivational content
- Excessive hashtags (0-2 max)
- Emojis in every line
- Clickbait without payoff
- Self-promotional tone
Constraints:
- 3,000 characters max
- First 2-3 lines critical (before "see more")
- Optimal posting: 1-2 posts/day
What Works:
- Hook in first line (pattern interrupt)
- Personal stories with professional lessons
- Data-driven insights
- Frameworks and mental models
- Controversial-but-defensible takes
What Doesn't Work:
- Generic business advice
- Hashtag stuffing (#growth #marketing #saas)
- Corporate speak
- Humble brags
- Engagement bait ("Like if you agree!")
Content Themes
Rotate through these themes for variety:
| Theme | Example Hook |
|---|---|
| Problem-Solution | "The problem with growth tools: They tell you WHAT happened. Not WHY." |
| Developer-First | "Most growth tools: 'Install our 5MB tracking script.' Us: 'Run one command.'" |
| Outcome-Focused | "Traditional analytics: 'Your churn rate is 15%.' Better approach: 'Here's the code path causing dropoff.'" |
| PLG Philosophy | "Growth should be as reviewable as code changes." |
| Contrarian | "Hot take: Most PLG tools make you worse at PLG." |
| Value Proposition | "Finally, a growth tool that doesn't make you want to cry." |

- Developer-first: Speak their language, not marketer language
- No BS: Say what we mean, no hedging

- Specific over generic: Concrete examples beat abstract claims
- Confident but not arrogant: We know our stuff, but we're not condescending

Tips for Best Results
- Provide context — "We're launching a new feature" helps theme selection
- Specify platform — "Just Twitter" or "LinkedIn only"
- Request variations — "Give me 3 versions of the same idea"
- Include constraints — "No threads today, just standalone tweets"
