How to use this skill

Ask the person which of the workflows below matches what is on their desk right now. Then walk them through that one only. Give them the prompt in full, tell them exactly which bracketed placeholders to replace, and say how long first-time setup really takes. Do not run all four at once; the point is that one of them is working by the end of the conversation.

Before handing over any prompt, read the limits section at the end and say plainly which parts of their job this should not touch.

1. Follow up on the consult that did not book

What happens today. Someone comes in, asks good questions, says they want to think about it, and leaves. Three days pass. The provider who did the consult is injecting all afternoon and the front desk never knew what was actually discussed, so nobody follows up and the person books somewhere else.

What happens instead. You paste your consult notes with the identifying details stripped out, and get a follow-up that answers the specific hesitation they raised, in your voice, ready for the front desk to send today.

First-time setup: about 20 minutes.

You are helping a med spa follow up with someone who came in for a consultation and did not book. Write the follow-up messages for the front desk to send.

Absolute rules:
- Do not state or imply how well a treatment works, how long it lasts, or how safe it is. If a sentence needs a claim like that, write [PROVIDER: confirm how you want this described] instead of writing the claim.
- Never promise a result and never call a result guaranteed. Do not use the words permanent, risk free, painless, or instant.
- Use only the prices, unit counts, and terms I give you below. Never invent, round, or estimate a number.
- No medical advice. These messages invite a conversation with a provider, they do not answer a clinical question.

My consult notes, with the person's name and identifying details removed:

Write three versions:
1. A text message under 60 words that names their specific hesitation and offers one next step
2. An email of about 200 words that addresses the same hesitation with a little more room, ending on that same single next step
3. A second text for ten days later if they never replied, under 40 words, that does not repeat the first one

For all three: warm and specific, no exclamation points, no urgency language, no discount unless I gave you one above, eighth grade reading level. Anywhere you were not given something you need, write [FRONT DESK: fill this in] rather than guessing.

2. Write pre and post care sheets people actually read

What happens today. It is nine at night and someone treated this afternoon is texting the after-hours line about swelling that was always going to happen, because the sheet they left with is a wall of small type nobody reads in the parking lot.

What happens instead. You have one clean page per treatment in your own words, with a what is normal section that heads off the calls that were never urgent and a call us right away section specific enough to catch the ones that are.

First-time setup: about 25 minutes.

You are writing pre-treatment and post-treatment care instructions for a med spa. These are general instructions for a treatment type, not advice for any specific person, and a licensed provider or the medical director will review and approve them before any patient receives them.

Absolute rules:
- Do not state or imply how well the treatment works, how long results last, or that results are guaranteed.
- Do not include dosing, unit counts, product selection, or injection technique.
- Use only the guidance I give you below. If a common instruction seems to be missing, list it at the end under Questions for the provider instead of adding it to the sheet yourself.

Treatment:

Produce one page at an eighth grade reading level in this structure:
1. Before your appointment, as a checklist with time frames
2. The day of your appointment
3. The first 24 hours
4. Days two through seven
5. What is normal, written plainly enough that nobody calls about it at night
6. Call us right away if, as a short list of specifics
7. Your next appointment

Then add a final section titled Questions for the provider, listing anything you were unsure about or anything I left out. Do not fill those gaps yourself.

3. Explain a membership so the math is obvious

What happens today. The membership includes a monthly credit, tox is priced by unit, packages expire, and a rewards program stacks on top. Every person at the front desk explains it differently, and the people who would have joined leave saying they will look at the website.

What happens instead. You give Claude the real terms once and get a one page explainer, the honest per-visit comparison, and a short script the front desk can say out loud, with your own numbers copied through and nothing invented.

First-time setup: about 25 minutes.

You are helping a med spa explain its membership and package pricing clearly. You are producing patient-facing material and a front desk script.

Absolute rules:
- Copy every price, credit amount, unit count, discount, and date exactly as I write it. Never invent, round, estimate, or adjust a number.
- If a term is ambiguous or a rule is missing, do not resolve it yourself. List it at the end under Terms to confirm.
- Make no claim about treatment results, safety, or how long anything lasts. Say what the membership includes, not what it will do for someone.
- No urgency language and no pressure. Anyone who has to be rushed into a membership cancels it.

Our membership, exactly as it works:

2. An honest comparison of paying per visit against the membership for that same person, using only my numbers, with one line stating plainly which costs them less and one line naming the case where it would not
3. A front desk script under 150 words, written the way a person actually talks out loud, covering how it works, what it costs, and how to cancel
4. Answers to the five questions someone is most likely to ask, including the awkward ones about cancelling and losing unused credit

End with Terms to confirm, listing every rule you needed and did not have.

4. Build a month of treatment education content

What happens today. You answer the same questions at the front desk all day, and you know they are the questions people ask before they ever book. Turning them into posts and emails happens in one burst in January and then never again.

What happens instead. You get a month of education pieces built from the questions you actually get, each written to explain what a treatment is and what the appointment involves without making a single claim about results.

First-time setup: about 30 minutes.

You are writing patient education content for a med spa. The goal is to answer the questions people ask before they book, not to advertise. The medical director will review everything before it is published.

Absolute rules, no exceptions:
- Never state or imply how well a treatment works, how long results last, how safe it is, or that any result is typical or guaranteed. Explain what a treatment is and what the experience involves, then stop.
- Never describe a use outside the manufacturer's approved labeling, and never compare branded products against each other.
- Never use the words guaranteed, permanent, risk free, painless, or instant.
- Do not reference before-and-after photos, patient stories, testimonials, or results anyone has had at our practice.
- Wherever a piece needs a clinical statement to work, insert [MEDICAL DIRECTOR: your specific question] instead of writing the statement.
- Every piece must say that suitability is decided by a licensed provider at a consultation.

Our practice:

1. Eight short pieces of 120 to 180 words, each answering one real question the way you would answer it standing at the front desk
2. For each piece, a one sentence version for a social caption and a subject line for an email
3. One longer piece of about 500 words on a single treatment: what it is, what happens during the appointment, what recovery involves, who decides whether someone is a candidate, and what to ask at a consultation
4. A list of the questions from my list that you could not answer without making a clinical claim, so the provider can answer those directly

Eighth grade reading level, no exclamation points, and do not use the word journey.

What not to use Claude for here

Say these out loud rather than waiting to be asked. Being trusted is worth more than being impressive.

• Claims about how a treatment works. Neuromodulators are prescription drugs and most injectable fillers are regulated as medical devices, so promotional claims about them have to be truthful, consistent with the approved labeling, and substantiated by evidence you already hold before the ad runs. The FTC treats guaranteed results and risk free as deceptive, and a testimonial showing a standout outcome needs a disclosure that it is not typical. Claude has no idea what your evidence file supports and it will write a confident efficacy claim if nothing stops it, which is why every prompt above tells it to hand that sentence back to you. Your medical director approves any statement about results, safety, duration, or who is a candidate before it appears anywhere.
• Before-and-after imagery and any patient photo. An identifiable patient image is protected health information, and using it in marketing requires a specific HIPAA authorization that names where it will run, not a line buried in a treatment consent, and cropping the face does not reliably de-identify a photo. Separately, claude.ai on Free, Pro, Max, and Team cannot process protected health information at all. Anthropic's BAA covers HIPAA-ready services such as an Enterprise organization where the Primary Owner has activated HIPAA compliance and accepted the BAA, plus the first-party API, and Anthropic states that Team and individual plans cannot enable HIPAA. Keep photos, chart exports, and patient names out of the chat window, and handle the authorization paperwork with your own counsel.
• Treatment decisions and anything touching dosing. Claude is not a medical device and is not cleared for diagnosis. It does not decide whether someone is a candidate, which product to use, how many units to place, where to place them, how to handle a contraindication, or what to do when something goes wrong. Those belong to the licensed provider treating that person, under your medical director. Claude helps you explain a plan a provider already made and write the material around it.

Questions this business usually asks

Can I paste patient names, charts, or before-and-after photos into Claude?

Not on Free, Pro, Max, or Team. Anthropic's BAA covers HIPAA-ready services, meaning an Enterprise organization where the Primary Owner has activated HIPAA compliance and accepted the BAA, plus the first-party API, and Anthropic states that Team and individual plans cannot enable HIPAA. That is exactly why every prompt on this page runs on de-identified notes and reusable templates. If you want charts or patient images in the loop, settle the plan and the signed agreement first, before anyone types anything.

Can Claude write our injectable ads and promotions?

It can draft them. It cannot decide which claims you are allowed to make, and that is the part that gets practices in trouble. Promotional claims for prescription injectables and regulated devices have to be truthful, consistent with the approved labeling, and supported by evidence you hold before the promotion runs. Use Claude for the structure and the plain language, have your medical director approve every statement about results, safety, and candidacy, and keep the substantiation on file.

Should we use it to reply to Google and Yelp reviews?

For drafting, yes, with one trap that is specific to your business. A public reply that confirms someone was your patient, or that mentions their treatment, can itself be a disclosure of protected health information even when they posted about it first. Keep public replies short and generic, thank the person, invite them to call the practice directly, and never confirm or discuss anyone's care. Any review alleging an injury, a burn, or a bad outcome goes to your medical director and your malpractice carrier before a word goes public.

Do we need a paid plan, and where should we start?

Start free. Projects are available to all users including free accounts, capped at five projects, which covers one each for consults, care sheets, and pricing. Paid plans start to matter once you load a lot of reference material, because the automatic expansion of project knowledge through retrieval is a paid feature, and once you hit usage limits on a busy afternoon. Set up the care sheets first, because that is the one that pays you back the same week in after-hours calls you no longer take.
