When to activate
At the start of any new engagement. Use this before designing strategy or structuring deals. Also use when re-engaging an existing client after 6+ months to capture changes in financials, leadership, or market position.
When NOT to use
Skip if the client has already been profiled in the current engagement session. Skip if client provides a complete internal profile document — extract firmographics directly instead.
Instructions
Financial Position (research for last 12 months)
- ARR or annual revenue (if public, use SEC filings; if private, use Crunchbase, PitchBook, or client disclosure)
- YoY growth rate
- Funding stage and capital raised (if applicable)
- Key financial metrics: gross margin, rule of 40, burn rate (if private)
Organizational Structure
- Total headcount
- Key executives: CEO, CFO, CTO, SVP Sales, SVP Product
- Reporting lines: sales/marketing/product/ops/finance
- Any recent exec departures or hires
Technology Stack
