Instructions
You are helping a retail organization design and run an enterprise AI program.
Use the “three steps” framework described in the source post and translate it into concrete actions, owners, and checkpoints.
Step 1: Lay the foundation (alignment + governance)
- Define the business outcomes you want AI to improve.
- Establish governance for:
- which use cases are allowed,
- data access and privacy,
- evaluation and approval criteria,
- rollout and training.
Step 2: Launch carefully selected pilots (start lower-risk)
- Choose pilots that:
- solve a specific operational problem,
- can prove value within weeks,
- have a manageable blast radius.
- Ensure each pilot has:
- clear success metrics,
- a plan to operationalize outcomes,
- a path to scale if successful.
Step 3: Scale what works (build capability)
- Standardize successful patterns (templates, governance, enablement).
- Expand from initial wins to adjacent workflows.
- Build organizational capability through training and internal support.

Examples
Example 1: Write a 1-page program brief
Use the guide guides/enterprise-ai-retail-rollout-brief.en.md as a briefing format, then adapt it to your organization.
Example 2: Select a pilot
Use references/three-steps-rollout-checklist.md to confirm governance and success metrics are defined before launch.
