Key Rules
- Always contextualize numbers — "98% accuracy" means nothing without knowing baseline and dataset
- Report the venue: top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, CVPR) have stronger peer review
- Note the submission date (arXiv ≠ peer reviewed) — never present preprints as established fact
- Always check if code is released before rating reproducibility as high
- When synthesizing multiple papers, explicitly note contradictions between them
