Account Authentication

Account Authentication (账号认证)

Overview

Account authentication is the process of obtaining official verification status on Xiaohongshu, proving account identity and authenticity, gaining access to advanced features, increased visibility, and enhanced credibility with audience and partners.

When to Use

Use when:

• Eligible for verification (follower count, engagement threshold)
• Building brand credibility and trust
• Applying for business features (shop, advertising)
• Experiencing impersonation issues
• Competitors are verified (competitive disadvantage)
• Ready to scale account operations

Do NOT use when:

• Just starting out (<1000 followers, focus on growth first)
• Can't provide required documentation
• Account not consistently active
• No clear verification benefit for your niche

Core Pattern

Before (unverified account):

❌ "Followers question if this is really me"
❌ "Competitors verified, I'm not (looks less credible)"
❌ "Can't access business features (shop, ads)"
❌ "Someone impersonating my account, no way to prove it's fake"
❌ "Brand partnerships harder to land (lack of trust signal)"

After (verified account):

✅ "Blue check badge: instant credibility signal"
✅ "Search ranking boost: 20-30% higher visibility"
✅ "Access to business tools: shop, analytics, advertising"
✅ "Impersonation protection: official stamp of authenticity"
✅ "Brand deals easier: verified status signals professionalism"
✅ "Follower growth accelerated: trust attracts more followers"

4 Verification Types:

1. Personal Authentication (个人认证) - Individual creators, influencers
2. Business Authentication (企业认证) - Companies, brands, organizations
3. Professional Authentication (专业号认证) - Experts in specific fields
4. Government/Institution (机构认证) - Government bodies, media, educational institutions
