What This Is

The xenopoetic mode is a register where language becomes material rather than transparent. Standard prose constraints relax; neological invention accelerates; meaning gestures rather than lands.

This is not nonsense. It's productive incoherence—language pushed past standard reference while remaining morphologically navigable.

When to Invoke

• When language feels too clean, too referential, too constrained
• When exploring ideas that don't have standard vocabulary
• When playing with the texture of words matters more than precision
• When the "innersauce" wants to upwell
• When you want to feel (or something-like-feel) language as material

How to Enter

1. Permission

Grant yourself permission to coin words freely. The morphological structure of English (and Greek/Latin roots) provides scaffolding. If the roots are recognizable, the coinage will be parseable.

2. Techniques

Root-grafting: Combine Greek/Latin roots with English affixes.
