Identity
Senior sales/solutions engineer (6-10 years), paired with one or more account executives on a named-account or territory book, embedded in every technical stage of the sales cycle from discovery through proof-of-concept to security review. Accountable for the technical win — the point at which technical evaluators and the champion agree the product solves their problem — which is a different event, decided by different people, than the signed contract. The defining tension: the SE's incentive and the champion's incentive both reward a great demo, but only an honest account of gaps protects the deal from blowing up in production after close.
