Global Flight Deal
Use this skill when the user wants the cheapest flight to a destination, asks for global low-price flights, asks to compare nearby airports, or wants a flight-price search that is not tied to one platform.
Workflow
- Identify destination, travel date or date range, trip type, passenger count, cabin class, and acceptable origin airports.
- If the user only gives a destination, infer likely origin from context when safe; otherwise ask for the origin.
- Prefer nearby airports when the user allows them. For example, Shanghai can include PVG and SHA; Suzhou can include WUX or nearby Shanghai airports; Changzhou can include CZX.
- Run the CLI:
global-flight --origin <origin> --destination <destination> --date-start <YYYY-MM-DD> --date-end <YYYY-MM-DD>
- If the user gives multiple origins, pass
--originmore than once. - Use configured providers. If API keys are missing, report which providers were skipped.
- Sort by total price and present:
- cheapest option
- next best options
- provider and booking URL when available
- caveats about taxes, baggage, and live price changes
Provider Setup
Optional provider credentials:
$env:AMADEUS_CLIENT_ID="..."
$env:AMADEUS_CLIENT_SECRET="..."
$env:TEQUILA_API_KEY="..."
FlyAI works through a local flyai CLI if installed:
npm install -g @fly-ai/flyai-cli
Good Answers
- Be explicit about date, route, airport, and cabin.
- Say when the result is from only one provider.
- Do not pretend a fare is bookable until the booking link is checked.
- For expensive purchases, recommend checking at least two booking platforms before payment.
