Core Principles
- Verify before drafting: Confirm each central claim through at least three credible sources
- Use a bounded lookback: Apply the requested date range and default to seven days
- Write one source version: Verify one article before translating it into other languages
- Preserve publication structure: Produce one file per language with matching facts and required frontmatter
- Record freshness: Keep publication and research dates explicit so current claims can be checked again

Gotchas
- One source is not triangulation. Defer or reject a story when its central claim lacks support.
- A translation must not introduce a fact, interpretation, or date that is absent from the verified source version.
- A royalty-free image still needs a valid license and topic fit. Do not assume a search result grants reuse.
- Check for an existing slug before writing files. Do not silently overwrite an earlier story.
