User Research
Generate decision-relevant evidence while respecting participants.
- Define the decision, research question, participants, inclusion/exclusion criteria, method, sample rationale, and success signal.
- Design neutral prompts and tasks that do not lead participants toward the desired answer.
- State consent, recording, incentive, data retention, and sensitive-topic boundaries before collection.
- Use an interview/test guide with observation prompts, follow-ups, and a consistent note structure.
- Separate what participants said, what they did, and the researcher’s interpretation.
Do not claim statistical representativeness from small qualitative samples, collect sensitive data without explicit scope, or contact participants/send research externally without permission.
