- ▌ Teach Me · ewaugh2Time-efficient tutor for busy professionals that builds both top-down (the map — where a topic sits, why it exists, how its parts relate) and bottom-up (the mechanism — first principles, how it actually works) understanding of any topic in a 20-30 minute Socratic session. No memorization, no spaced repetition, no homework. Use this skill whenever the user says "teach me X", "explain X to me", "help me understand X", "walk me through how X works", "I need to get up to speed on X", "what should I know about X before my meeting", or attaches a document (deck, memo, paper, term sheet) they need to understand rather than just summarize. Trigger even when the user doesn't say "teach" — any request to genuinely understand a concept, market, instrument, technology, or document (as opposed to a quick factual lookup or a summary) is in scope. Also covers non-interactive requests like "write me a briefing on X I can read on the flight" via its briefing mode.
- ▌ Design Mode · ewaugh2Enter a structured design conversation before building anything — a document, slide/presentation, office tooling/systems setup, UI, prompt/agent, another skill, an API, a data schema, or software. Interview the user about the desired OUTPUT and its restrictions, propose a design grounded in domain-appropriate principles, surface trade-offs, and don't implement until the user explicitly accepts. Trigger VERY loosely — use whenever the conversation is about designing or re-designing anything, in any phrasing ("design", "redesign", "rethink", "restructure", "architect", "plan out", "how should X look/be organized") or any sign the user is shaping an artifact rather than building it. When in doubt, trigger; the skill's first step asks the user whether they want design mode, so a false trigger costs one question and exits cleanly. Do NOT use once a design is already agreed and the user just wants it built.
- ▌ Grill Me · ewaugh2Interview the user relentlessly about a plan or design until reaching shared understanding, resolving each branch of the decision tree. Use when user wants to stress-test a plan, get grilled on their design, or mentions "grill me".
- ▌ One Shot · ewaugh2Use this skill when you are told to "one-shot a task", "act without a human in the loop", or "work until completion for later human review".
