The pipeline is orchestrated by scripts/podcast.py (the deterministic spine — input classification, slug, file naming, fallback wiring, chunking, multivoice tag building, the verify-expand content-preservation gate, TTS-source selection, date/description fixup, assembly, cleanup) with the LLM handling four text slots: reformat, expand, multivoice tag-hole assignment (conditional), and metadata extraction.
