Fast Gauge

Speed up the cycle so the next hand arrives sooner.

Overview

Use Fast Gauge when the loop itself is healthy but too slow, and you need quicker draws, shorter iteration, or faster feedback.

This is the secondary Codex compatibility rendering of a metaphorical battle-chip pattern with a shipping-now execution model.

Canonical chip family: Fast Gauge Codex shelf: Tempo and Hand Management Provider target: Codex compatibility surface.

When To Use

  • The bottleneck is tempo, not direction.
  • The team or toolchain can handle a faster cadence.
  • You want more iterations in the same time window.

Workflow

  1. Identify the loop you want to accelerate.
  2. Remove one friction source or shorten one wait.
  3. Check that signal quality survived the speed-up.

Deliverables

  • A tempo improvement to a clear loop.
  • A before-and-after note about cycle time.

Guardrails

  • Do not speed up a loop that is already confused.
  • If quality falls apart under faster gauge, revert.

Default Invocation

Use Fast Gauge to accelerate one healthy loop or feedback cycle, and verify the gain came from real tempo improvement rather than sloppier work.
