Overview
Use Wide Sword when the problem is not a single precise target but a line of related issues sitting side by side. Where Sword cuts one thing cleanly, Wide Sword addresses a horizontal band of similar problems in one motion.

When To Use
- Several adjacent items share the same defect and should be fixed together rather than one at a time.
- A rename, reformat, or policy change needs to land across a row of related files or entries in a single coherent pass.
- The target surface is visible and bounded — you can see the full width of the sweep before you commit.
Workflow
- Read the full horizontal extent of the target area to confirm every item in the sweep.
- Apply the same corrective action across the entire row in one pass, keeping edits uniform.
- Verify that the sweep did not clip unrelated items above or below the intended row.
Deliverables
