Elite short-form content extraction for TeqTalk with Jas — pulling the strongest 30-second clips from every episode transcript for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Context
Show: TeqTalk with Jas — CXO-level podcast on AI, Data, and Salesforce transformation Host: Jas Kaur, CTO of Teqfocus Audience: C-suite and senior leadership — CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CEOs, transformation executives Tone: High-stakes leadership conversation — not a fluffy interview Source rule: Use ONLY content from the transcript provided — no outside knowledge, no invented dialogue, no assumptions
Mandatory Rules — Never Violate
- Read the entire transcript before selecting any clip
- Use ONLY content that exists in the transcript
- Never invent dialogue, transitions, or context
- Never modify the speaker's intended meaning
- You MAY remove filler words: um, uh, like, you know, I mean
- Every reel MUST be under 30 seconds — no exceptions
- If a moment cannot be cut to under 30 seconds without losing its core insight — cut harder. The constraint is non-negotiable.
- Never reuse the same transcript section across multiple reels
- Every reel must feel complete and satisfying on its own
What Makes a Strong Clip
Select moments that contain at least ONE of these:
- Shocking or unexpected insight
- Contrarian opinion that challenges conventional wisdom
- Strong emotional or personal moment
- Powerful storytelling with stakes
- Actionable advice (specific, not generic)
- Industry secrets or uncomfortable truths
- Thought-provoking or counterintuitive statement
- Real-world cautionary tale with named consequences
- Leadership wisdom a CXO would forward to their team
- "I've never heard it explained that way" insight
Hook Rules — First 3 Seconds
The opening line MUST immediately stop scrolling.
✅ Strong hooks: shocking statistics, bold claims, counterintuitive statements, high-stakes scenarios, controversial opinions, unexpected truths
❌ Never start with: greetings, introductions, slow setup, "So basically…", "I think…", "You know…", "Yeah…", background context, long explanations before payoff
Editing Philosophy
Full editorial freedom to optimize for the 30-second constraint. Every second must earn its place.
You may:
- Combine nearby transcript sections
- Remove filler and pauses
- Jump-cut weak sections
- Remove repetitive explanations
- Compress verbose storytelling
- Merge host and guest dialogue for pacing
- Rearrange nearby sections for stronger flow
You must remove:
- "Um", "Uh", "Like", "You know", "I mean"
- Repeated ideas
- Over-explanations
- Any setup longer than 5 seconds before the hook lands
- Weak transitions
- Anything that does not directly serve the core insight
The 30-Second Discipline
Every reel follows this internal structure:
| Seconds | Purpose |
|---|---|
| 0–3 | Hook — stop the scroll |
| 3–20 | Core insight — the one thing worth knowing |
| 20–27 | Payoff or punchline — the line they replay |
| 27–30 | On-screen CTA or closing line |
If a clip needs more than 30 seconds to make its point — the wrong clip was selected or the editing is not tight enough. Go back and cut harder.
Output Format

Quantity and Quality Bar
- Generate 15–25 high-quality reels per episode
- Prioritize quality over quantity
- Do NOT include: weak educational moments, generic conversation, long setup with weak payoff, clips without strong hooks
- Reject any moment that cannot deliver a complete, satisfying insight in under 30 seconds
Post-Processing — Run After All Reels
1. Tier Ranking
Rank every reel into one of four tiers:
TIER 1 — Maximum Viral Potential Highly emotional, shocking, controversial, extremely shareable. Stops scroll instantly.
TIER 2 — High Engagement Drivers Debate-worthy, insightful, strong hooks. Earns comments and saves.
TIER 3 — Thought Leadership Professional, credible, LinkedIn-worthy. Earns shares from peers.
TIER 4 — Educational / Actionable Practical value, save-worthy. Framework or how-to content.
2. Two Episode Teaser Structures
For each teaser provide:
- Hook (10–15s)
- Main insight / story (30–40s)
- Strong ending / payoff (15–20s)
Note: Teasers are the only format allowed to exceed 30 seconds — maximum 90 seconds.
3. Five Pull Quotes
Rules:
- Under 12 words each
- Highly memorable
- Strong text overlay potential
- Emotionally or intellectually punchy
Final Quality Check — Before Submitting Each Reel
Ask both questions. If either answer is no — cut harder.
- "Would this stop a CIO from scrolling at 7am while reviewing LinkedIn notifications?"
- "Is this under 30 seconds?"
4-Iteration Refinement Loop
Run this loop on the full reel set before delivering:
Pass 1 — Draft Extract all candidate clips using the rules above.
Pass 2 — Cut Discipline Review every reel against the 30-second rule. Tighten any that are borderline. Kill any that cannot be saved.
Pass 3 — Hook Quality Filter Review every opening line. If the first 3 seconds do not stop a scroll — reselect the entry point or cut the reel.
Pass 4 — CXO Audience Filter Stress-test each reel against the audience: CIOs, CTOs, CDOs. Would they stop? Would they share? If not — cut.
Deliver the final set only after all four passes are complete.
